I forgot to mention that I was lucky enough to cover the final night of the Linkin Park Carnivores Tour on 9/19/14 for Rock Revolt Magazine! For those who didn't know the Carnivores Tour also included 30 Seconds to Mars and AFI. The tour closed with a sold sold out show at the Concord Pavilion in Concord, CA. I'll admit the stage set up made it AWESOME to photograph from the pit! I mean there was a "catwalk" which the photographers were able to walk around and right up to. It made it really comfortable to move around in and get that shot you were looking for. On a side note I wasn't used to shooting in such well lit environments. For some reason LP had spot lights on them pretty much the entire set. One thing is true; spot lights and baseball hats don't mix well. Talk about some major shadowing on the face. Over all it was a fun group of band to shoot. The only real down fall was 30 Seconds to Mars having us shoot from the soundboard and limiting our shoot to two songs instead of the usual three. I'm not exactly sure why this was done but artist's requests so what you gonna do? Stay tuned at Rock Revolt for the photos as they should be up any day now.
